It’s really great when a group of people get together to do good. All too often the seo industry is lumped together as snake oil salesmen, scam artists, etc. I personally don’t know anyone in that class and know that we as an industry don’t like anyone that brings attention to us by their unethical behavior. So it did does my heart good to tell you about the IM Charity Parties that are being held at many of the search marketing events. I’ve only been to one and it was a blast!

The first IM Charity Party was held at SES New York 2007 with major support from the Best of the Web gang, a great group of people. The event raised over $5,100 and awareness for the Ronald McDonald House Charities. Since then there have been several other events and they have raised over $100,000 for charities.
