This blog is about sem training so I should do a better job of letting you know about sem training sessions. I’ve been off track lately but promise to do a better job of focusing this blog on all the training programs out there as the make themselves known. I don’t know how I missed SEOMoz throwing their hat in the sem training ring. It was announced by Scott on Whiteboard Friday July 27, 2007. (Okay, I was moving to Singapore and that’s the last time I’ll use that excuse). Although they have been providing corporate training for awhile now and they speak at all the search marketing industry events, this is the first time, I believe they’ve offered this type of program.
It made me realize I really need to get my focus back because I feel that ongoing training is critical to an sem scholar like myself. That’s why all the sem conferences, seminars and training out there are so popular and will survive if in fact they continue to offer fresh content. If you’ve taken the SEOMoz quiz then you know how little you really know about search. Okay so people have criticized the value of the quiz but one thing it clearly reveals is that many of us have a lot to learn about search marketing.
I am after all an sem scholar, not an sem guru. I must admit that when I see all the talent in this field I realize my sem knowledge is pretty limited. That’s why I refuse to take the SEOMoz quiz, even though I bet I could beat Rebecca’s score.
So if you want more sem training, then I suggest you sign up now. And don’t forget the infamous after party where “you may possibly wind up on the SEOmoz blog in Rebecca’s Comics”.
