As you probably noticed I haven’t been blogging regularly, a must for any blog to succeed. The China Search Marketing Tour took a lot of my time prior to leaving for China and the 10 days traveling in China took me away from any blogging. Not that I couldn’t blog from China as they have Internet access in every hotel. I was just having too much fun!
Much of my time since I’ve been back is catching up with the work at my current job and preparing for interviews for a new job. Well all that work paid off and I accepted the position today. My new title is Regional Head of Search – Asia Pacific at Neo@Ogilvy.
Neo@Ogilvy, owned by WPP Group’s Ogilvy & Mather, is a full-service digital and direct media company that manages digital media investment for global clients covering digital advertising and direct marketing, digital and direct TV, direct response print and email, email marketing, search marketing, and new forms of digital media such as blogs and vlogs
If that company sounds familiar, its because you may have heard about it when they bought Bill Hunt’s company, Global Strategies International. Bill and his lovely wife Motoko, a fellow blogger at Multilingual Search and active SEMPO member, are kind and generous and its been wonderful knowing them over the last couple of years. I used to study Bill’s book Search Engine Marketing Inc., every morning when I went into work early to avoid the traffic. And now to think I’ll be working for Bill, and in Singapore no less. My wife Annie and I are really looking forward to the move and invite all of you to come visit us.
Blog posts will continue to be light as we prepare for our move but I will post when I get a chance and pick up again regularly when we get settled. Thanks by the way to Bill for making this happen and everyone in the search marketing industry for all your love and support. It would be impossible for me to name each and everyone of you but you know who you are. SEO’s rule!

Congratulations on the promotion and your new living arrangements. Now I know someone in Singapore should we ever get the chance to visit there.
You already know how excited I am for you – this seems like a great challenge and a huge opportunity for someone with your skillset. You’ll definitely be missed. All the best to you and Annie on this adventure!
Wow – Singapore!!! That’s not exactly like moving across town, y’know?
Congrats, David — it’s well deserved. You’ll do great. Selfishly, I hope this doesn’t mean we’ll be seeing less of you here in the U.S.
Congratulations David, I am so happy for you. Sounds like just your thing. Let’s shoot for getting you on the eMarketing Talk Show before you go!
David, congratulations and I’m more than happy for both you and Annie!!
The Twin Cities will miss both a friend and great search marketer. I’m sure many (including myself) would love to come up with a way to visit you in Singapore.
I’m sure there will be a very nice get-together for you before you go and I’ll definitely be there.
Thanks everyone. I won’t be attending SES for awhile so you’ll all just have to come out to Singapore!
Paul, I’ll be sure to let you know if and when there is a get together and would love to have you there.
Cindy, thanks I’d love to be on your fabulous show!
We are definitely working on a get-together. Any non-locals who might be in town are welcome to crash.
David’s buying, of course.
Congrats David! I wish you well in the new gig!
