» by David Temple January 31st, 2007 at 6:30 pm » Comments (9)

Sorry, I’m busy so here’s a rerun post.
I’ve seen the super hero test making the rounds and I just wasn’t interested. Then I was tagged by my Irish pal Paul O’Flaherty , who is currently living in Denmark, to take the villian test. He’s also known as Apocalypse, sorry to give away your alter ego, [...]

All this talk about sem seo certification and training is making my head spin. I mean really, there are plenty of companies or individuals that offer training, some good some not so good. Sure you’re gonna learn [...]

I recently interviewed Bruce Clay and thought an introduction was unnecessary. After further thought I realized perhaps all of my readers may not know him. I’m sure I wouldn’t do him justice so I turned to wikipedia for this excellent intro.
Bruce Clay is a professional search engine optimization consultant. He was interviewed by Wired Magazine in their 2004 [...]

Qwest usability and customer service score F-

» by David Temple January 25th, 2007 at 9:57 pm » Comments (2)

Although this blog is about seo  sem training and certification I’ve been studying up on accesibility and usability thanks to the great content provided by an seo Godmother, Kim Krause Berg and Site Logic’s Matt Bailey who taught me more about accessibility than I thought there was to know.  The more I learned the more I [...]

SEO training and an seo job granted by your seo Godmother

» by David Temple January 24th, 2007 at 11:30 pm » Comments (7)

That’s right. Your favorite seo Godmother and mine, Jill Whalen, is giving some lucky person an seo job and she’s also providing seo training for them.  This is more interesting than that apprentice show if you ask me. In fact this is an opportunity of a lifetime for someone. Below are the details and anyone who wants to [...]

Search engine, search Engine

» by David Temple January 24th, 2007 at 3:23 pm » Comments (2)

This is a repost from earlier and no, I don’t think search engines are going the way of the dinosaur. This is more of a rant in the form of an anti ode and a way to call out search engines.  Change is in the air and search engines have to change.  Is Wikiseek the answer? I [...]

Put everything down and get out your number 2 pencils and a clean sheet of paper. It’s your first pop quiz of the year. Memes come and memes go but before we meme ourselves into submission let’s see if anyone was paying attention to any of the previous ones.
Update: The person with the most [...]

» by David Temple January 16th, 2007 at 4:03 am » Comments (4)

If you think you’ve seen this post before you’re right. I was wondering exactly how to spell linkbait and that’s why I had it written both ways in the title of this original post. SEO isn’t rocket science but neither is rocket science according to NASA

» by David Temple January 12th, 2007 at 3:47 am » Comments (3)

Okay not to beat a dead horse but let’s take a look at what NASA says about rocket science (they should know) and see if you can compare it to SEO. Here’s what NASA says about rocket science on their Rocket Science 101 site.  Looks pretty straight forward to me, thanks NASA.

Assemble a rocket from [...]

Well Kevin didn’t say that everyone needs sem seo certification and training he did say, “I’ll allow that many SEM  jobs require knowledge and training” in his recent Click Z article “SEM and SEO: Rocket Science or Just Plain Science? Part 2″.  Thanks Kevin, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that out.  I’ve been [...]

Oops, I forgot. What I meant to say was, let’s use the search engine Google to search for the term “sem seo certification and training”.  You may remember back this summer Google told us not to use  google as a verb to describe what the online service WordSpy defines as; “To search for information on [...]
