According to Joe Preston nobody reads his blog, My Head is a Rocket, yet he managed to get the attention of not a few SEMPO members, including Paul Bruemmer, who were none too pleased with his “review” of their soon to be released SEM SEO certification.  You really should read the whole post and the rest of his blog for that matter. Here are Joe’s final thoughts on the subject.

Really the whole thing amounts to Paul promising me that he was trying to voice a number of concerns that would help mold this effort into a sane and adoptable standard. But, Paul’s not on the board, but he tells me that some of the key individuals working with him who do have authority at SEMPO are sincerely looking to implement this correctly. It sounds like they are a bit ahead of themselves, if they are this far along and still working with models that will be difficult for the SEM community to accept, but I gotta say if the rest of SEMPO starts talking like Paul, it will be difficult to dismiss this effort summarily.
